Indian Meal Moth
Plodia interpunetella
Wings are grayish-white on the inner half and the outer half is a darker
reddish-brown. Wing span 3/4 inch. Larvae is 1/2 inch long. White to
greenish brown head. Four pair of prolegs on abdomen. Feed on coarsely
ground flour, but also attack whole grains, dry fruits, and processed foods. It
is a surface-infesting pest (8 inch deep). Webbing left by larvae is
characteristic of this insect.
